Worst Natural Disaster Ever?

If the Quake and Tsunami that hit South Eastern Asia isn't the worst natural distaster ever it certainly is the worst in my lifetime. It is incredibly sad to think that the technology is out there to provide Tsunami warnings (it is used in the pacific ocean) and that tens of thousands of lives could have been saved. Unfortunately developing nations can't always afford that sort of technology on their own, they need help.

I think it's important the world comes together to send aid to the people and countries that were hit by this enormous disaster. If you visit a themepark regularly consider packing a sandwhich on your next visit and donate the coast of a meal at the parks. If you like movies, consider renting a movie instead of going out and donating the cost of the movie tickets and popcorn. Every little bit will help.

For those of you who live in earthquake or coastal areas let this be a lesson on preparedness for you as well. Always stock 3-5 days food and water and have an emergency contact network established.
